PRIVACY POLICY

What Fishing Loons collects, why we use it, and the choices available to visitors.

LAST UPDATED · September 29, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Fishing Loons handles information when you visit the Site, use public forms, contact us, interact with Site features, or encounter advertising, affiliate and partner content.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to send. Contact and partnership forms may collect your name, email address, company or organization, inquiry type and message.

Technical information. Our hosting, security and delivery systems may process IP address, browser/device information, request timestamps, pages requested and security signals needed to operate and protect the Site.

Optional measurement information. If you enable optional analytics or advertising/affiliate cookies, approved technologies may collect information about page views, interactions, referrals, campaign or partner identifiers and similar usage signals for the purposes described when consent is requested.

3. How we use information

We use information to receive and answer messages, evaluate partnership inquiries, operate and secure the Site, prevent spam and abuse, troubleshoot delivery, maintain records of submissions, measure Site performance when permitted, understand approved advertising or affiliate activity when permitted, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use a contact submission as permission to send unrelated marketing unless you separately agree to receive it.

4. Security and anti-abuse services

Public forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile and related security controls to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Hosting, email and security providers may process limited technical information as necessary to provide those services. Security and core-operation technologies are treated as necessary because the Site cannot safely provide those functions without them.

5. Cookies, local storage and consent

The Site uses necessary cookies or similar browser storage for security, core functionality and remembering your consent choices. Optional categories include preferences, analytics, and advertising or affiliate measurement. Optional categories are not enabled through the Fishing Loons consent system unless you choose them. You can change your choices later through Cookie Settings. Read the Cookie Policy for category details.

6. Advertising, affiliates and partners

Fishing Loons may show first-party sponsor, partner and advertising placements directly in Site content. Those placements can be displayed without optional tracking. If optional advertising or affiliate measurement is enabled, we may use approved identifiers or interaction data to understand referrals, campaign performance or partner activity. Clicking a third-party or affiliate link takes you to another service that may receive referral information and process data under its own privacy policy. Fishing Loons may receive compensation or commissions from some partner or affiliate relationships.

7. When information may be shared

We may share information with service providers that help host, secure, maintain or deliver the Site and email; with advertising, affiliate or partner providers where you have enabled applicable optional processing or where you intentionally follow their link; when you ask us to interact with a third party; when required by law or valid legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, Fishing Loons, users or others. We do not sell personal information as a standalone business activity.

8. Your consent choices

Necessary Site functions remain active. You may choose whether to enable optional preferences, analytics, and advertising/affiliate measurement. You may withdraw or change optional consent at any time through Cookie Settings. Changing a choice stops future optional processing controlled by this consent system; it does not necessarily erase information already lawfully processed, and third-party sites you previously visited control their own data.

9. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, operational records, security, dispute resolution or legal requirements. Retention periods can differ depending on the type of submission and the systems involved.

10. Service providers and locations

Internet services may process or store information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Information handled outside your province or country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

11. Access and correction

You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, withdraw optional consent, or ask a privacy question. Some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, for security, or to maintain legitimate business records.

12. Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through dedicated child-directed services. We do not intend to use optional behavioural advertising or profiling to target children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review it.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when Site features, service providers, advertising or affiliate practices, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material new uses of personal information may require a new consent choice.

15. Privacy contact

Privacy questions or requests can be sent to [email protected].
